Greetings from your 2017 conference co-chairs! The Spring NEMATYC meeting will take place at Bristol Community College (BCC) in Fall River, MA.
The theme this year is Mathematics & Sustainability. Here at BCC we pride ourselves on our sustainability efforts. Our newest addition, the John J. Sbrega Health and Science building, is the largest Zero Net Energy (ZNE) classroom and science lab building in the Northeast. A ZNE building produces enough renewable energy in a year to meet the building’s energy requirements for the year. When you come to the conference you can park under our solar canopy, which is New England’s largest solar canopy, covering about 800 parking spaces and capable of supplying about half the energy needs of the campus.
